Atlaswerke II

The headquarters of Galvano Pro, an international company that produces protective mouldings for propellers, rotors and turbines, is located high up in the southern part of the city between the Monte and the high-voltage power station. For the artist Lackschnute, the location in Paderborn and the production site itself have become a source of inspiration. In the graffiti on the left, the mouldings on the propellers can be clearly seen, which not only protect airplanes against erosion but also increase the efficiency of the machines. The artist Quy M. Nguyen grew up in Dortmund and now lives in Bochum. Here she has recently designed numerous façades for large

companies and gave workshops for young talent. She is currently developing mascots for the city of Bochum.

On the right is a collaborative work by the duo Kibe & Bird, who designed a large façade on Riemekestraße for the first Secret City Festival in 2021. They were also happy to accept the invitation for the second year, although the space is much smaller in 2022. The human face is a recurring motif in Bird's work. His designs are often only fragmentary, so that the faces sometimes appear rather mask-like. Around the faces, Kibe develops graphic connecting lines that link the masks and faces together. With a little imagination, Kibe's handwriting can also be recognised.

In the centre is a work by Gosp from Leipzig. His trademark are the skeleton-like characters, which he models in great detail with fine dots and a coloured pencil, creating an impressive depth effect. The figures are usually complemented by a graphic frame, which in some works can merge into a wallpaper-like structure. In his work on the Atlaswerk, GOSP has also used the roller shutter as a frame for his work, so that his work is only visible at certain times of day.
