Zebra

Description

The zebra has been the subject of numerous works by Snyder. The stripes make the animal particularly suitable for his style, as he works a lot with contrasts to break up visual habits. Even if the behavior of many people annoys Snyder, he has of course always remained a fan of mural art.

Sven Niemann is a PhD student at the Institute for German Studies and Comparative Literature at the University of Paderborn. His research interests are political graffiti, protest language and forms of minimal writing in public space. Since 2014 he has been leading public graffiti tours for the tourist information office in Paderborn. As a team member of the Secret City Fassadenfestival, he promotes the visibility of urban art in his adopted home of Paderborn.
