Oso (The Bear)

The mural is inspired by one of the most important animals of Asturias, the brown bear. The vegetation around its silhouette is also related to the Asturian flora. “This was my way of paying homage to this strong animal and the beauty that surrounds Oviedo.

It is also a way of raising awareness about the danger of extinction of this species, symbolized in the wall with the silhouette of the bear as if it were a void in the composition, like a gap between the flora through which a starry sky sneaks in“.
