Shika

This deer is a greeting to the lovely people of Konohana, Osaka. In Japan, shika (deer) are considered messengers from the spirit world. As such, they also forma bridge between humans and nature. I tried to capture this connection by painting a deer leaning through a frame or doorway, reaching out to those passing by to bring thema message of hope and positivity.
