Festival Cheminance

Nelson Rivas aka CEKIS is considered a pioneer of graffiti movement in South America. Born in 1976 in Santiago, Chile, his career as a self-taught artist begins in a country strongly marked by the dark years of the dictatorship. His work is compared to the Mexican mural, probably also influenced by political graffiti and the Chilean post-dictatorial hip-hop scene. Cekis now resides in New York.
