Het favoriet doelwit van Mobstr zijn reclamebillboards – de Britse kunstenaar vindt niet dat reclame thuishoort in het straatbeeld – al gaat hij met evenveel ironie, branie en gusto ook muren, verkeersborden en lantaarnpalen te lijf. Met zijn kritische, sarcastische en meestal ook erg grappige interventies doet Mobstr vaak nadenken over onze relatie tot de openbare ruimte.

Advertising billboards are Mobstr’s favourite target – the British artist does not think advertising belongs in the streetscape – although he also tackles walls, road signs and street lamps with just as much irony, swagger and gusto. With his critical, sarcastic and usually very funny interventions, Mobstr often makes us reflect on our relationship to the public space.
