The mural is intended to blend into the space it inhabits and illustrate the work of the family who lives there, as they sell coconuts, welcome their customers, and share a little bit of the essence of Puerto Escondido with them through that experience.

The wall speaks to the importance of work and seeks to strengthen local businesses, which have been threatened and often displaced by gentrification.
