The Squirrel: Stands for flexibility, adaptability and ingenuity. Just like the squirrel, who thinks ahead and collects food for the future, we are preparing for a new, vibrant future for the Molenpoort.

The Pink Spoonbill: Known for its adaptability, it finds its way in diverse environments. This symbolizes the transformation of the Molenpoort from an indoor shopping center to a lively district, full of new life and energy.

Shopping bag: The spoonbill carries shopping bags, one of which with the logo of our new project 'FIER'. This emphasizes the commercial aspect of the Molenpoort, which is retained in the new vision.

In the Background: An image of the Molenpoort as it looked before 1879, refers to the historic city gate that once stood here.

On the teapot: it flies out of a shopping bag bearing the city coat of arms of Nijmegen, a tribute to our rich history.
