CLOUET GARDENS

Taking what was abandoned former Section 8 housing in the New Orleans Bywater, mosaic artist Laurel True worked with the community to create some of the most delightful pocket garden space you're likely to come across. The mural she added in Clouet Gardens is facilitated by the Global Mosaic Project, an organization founded by her to create participatory projects across the globe, e.g. the eyeballs throughout the mural were created by the guys of the Mirebalais Mosaic Collective in Haiti where True worked after the 2010 earthquake in collaboration with Partners In Health
