Birth of the Spirit

A multiregional team supervised by Loop, the Italian spray paint manufacturer, is an example of a classical graffiti team where every member develops individual theme plots, but the joint painting increases the final work effect.

Effect Graff work is an example of graffiti production – a massive joint work, whereby the plot and theme are discussed by participants shortly before a project starts. Then the sketch is drawn and through work in progress it embraces more ideas and details. Improvising is an indispensable element of graffiti culture allowing to react promptly to what is going on around. The inspiration instant may be compared to an insight, joint creativity produces the unique atmosphere of a happening.

The work reflects the story of birth of a human spirit. From the very moment of birth, the dragon character symbolizing a spirit accompanies the main character. The plot is revealed through a graffiti comic strip inspired by Far Eastern mythology and showing various stages of spirit and personality development.

There are a lot of extra layers and meanings encrypted in the work. These are related to location context and this will become a basis for individual activations with residents.
