Ceci n'est pas un arbre

A l’entrée du Jardin du Maïeur, Ania Zuber et Sébastien Gairaud ont reconstitué, avec des traits épurés et des teintes délicates, les deux arbres qui se situaient derrière le mur. 

Cette peinture peut être vue comme un clin d’œil à Magritte. .Elle interroge la question du rapport au réel, évoque l’illusion sur une forme d’interrogation par rapport à «l’autre côté du pignon ».

At the entrance to the Jardin du Maïeur, Ania Zuber and Sébastien Gairaud have recreated the two trees behind the wall, using clean lines and delicate colours.

The painting can be seen as a nod to Magritte, questioning our relationship with reality and evoking the illusion of ‘the other side of the gable’.
