A few years ago, upgrading and landscaping the back alley was prevailing in Malaysia and some of the gloomy back alleys have been transformed to tourist attractions. The Muar Cultural Walk is one of them.

The wall of buildings was beautifully painted so that visitors could re-live the history, tradition & culture, nature & environment, and understand the art value of the paintings. The murals are located in several alleys around the town area.
