La Poubelle or the Rubish bin is a paste-up Mara did last Summer in an area quite popular with Montpellier students. It's still there today (Feb 2021), which is almost a record for this type of work. Mara is a Montpellier artist that is one of the founding fathers and a member of the artists' collective and communication agency, Studio Abawé that focuses on graphic design and illustration work. Mara's work focus mostly on pasteups and he does work for art galleries as well as in an urban environment. In 2011, he created the character we see in all his paste-ups with the crossed out face. He uses these characters to tell his stories.
