Mara Balloons

Mara is a Montpellier artist that is one of the founding fathers and a member of the artists' collective and communication agency, Studio Abawé that focuses on graphic design and illustration work.
Mara focus mostly on pasteups and he does work for art galleries as well as in an urban environment. In 2011, he created the character we see in all his paste-ups with the cross face. He uses these characters   to tell his stories. Since 2011 that we see his work gradually invest the Montpellier city walls, day and night....(adapted from https://www.artistes-occitanie.fr/)
This particular piece with its 3 characters going up in the air pulled up by balloons is really a mystery for me, so you can come up with your own story ;-). Just for context this is one of Mara's first, post-COVID pieces together with the Street Fighter that you can find down the road in the entrance to the Beaux Arts neighborhood . Enjoy!
