Maurizio Gobernattori

La Sirena, Ruben Darío, entre Italia y Argentina

Description

This mural by Italian artist Maurizo Gobernattori was part of the First Miramar International Art Biennial in 2013. About this first special edition the BIAM website says; “…The meeting brought together artists with an important national and international career who worked from the motto “Man and his relationship with nature.” More than 30 artists worked on 14 walls measuring 3.50 x 2.50 distributed in what is now the “Esteban Svast” Biennial Park, who together with their assistants created works using mosaic, sgraffito and relief techniques with polychrome direct cement

In the last 10 years, street art in Miramar, Argentina, has begun to have a great presence, changing landscape, territory, and society itself. I believe that art changes a society and we are in this process of transformation. The rise of street art has begun with the Intl. Art Biennials since 2013, wich enriched the city with valuable heritage. My intention is to be able, to account for the great quantity and variety of works, helping give visibility to the works, their artists and the city.
