Kings of Mexico

Second mural for the Belgian Embassy, in Mexico City. After not being able to travel to Ottawa in 2021 due to covid, the ambassador promised he'd invite me again, and so it happened.

This time the theme was (local) endangered species. As I have always been a fan of cats I chose the jaguar, accompanied by Monarch butterflies. This project was funded by the Embassy and the Modelo brewery.

I spent about two and a half weeks painting in the blistering sun, in the middle of a busy intersection. Of course, I also got to know Mexico City, which was an unforgettable experience.
