Navigating through time

The sextant centrepiece of the design here is both a reference to local history (the ship building that took place along the Maribyrnong river in the late 1800’s) and a metaphor for navigating through the many changes that have taken place in the suburb since it’s beginnings. Local Newells paddock wetlands inhabitants the Red rumpled parrot and Brown tree frog are along for the ride here navigating towards the future.
