Black Cockatoos

The artwork features Aboriginal representations of black cockatoos, platypus, wombat, lyrebird, local fauna and the waterfalls.

The background is bright, warm and cheerful to reflect the local community. On top of the background there is Aboriginal line work that represents the land, rivers, rocks, mountains, and valleys. The mix of pinks, reds, yellows and bright colours represent the beautiful bush flowers and fauna.

The animals and birds have markings which represent their Dreamtime song lines. Many of the patterns are inspired by the traditional artwork of the Kulin Nations people.
