Description

Another stunning mural from Marco, this one in Glenroy.

Marco says this of the piece (from his Instagram);

"This mural is part of the Merri Bek City Council and Arts Merri Bek public art project and is inspired by the intersex-inclusive Progress Pride Flag.

Created for the Glenroy Community Hub, the work is designed as a space of welcome, visibility, and belonging for the local community.

Rather than representing the flag in a literal way, I wanted to translate its meaning through light, reflections, fabric, flowers, and everyday details, transforming the symbolism into something softer, lived, and emotionally present.

Each color becomes part of the environment, woven into the scene through shadows, textures, and movement, representing identity, inclusion, and the beauty of being seen for who we are.

Pride is not only something we wave.
It is something we live, feel, and create space for.

This mural is about community.
About making people feel safe, represented, and connected.
About turning a public wall into a place where everyone can recognise a part of themselves."
