DISSEMINATION OF WORDS

The literal meaning of the word DISSEMINATION is the natural dispersal of seeds from the mother plant, mostly by external agents (water, wind, animals, etc.) over as wide an area as possible. In the case of Maisto's work, it is the natural dispersion of my artistic work through people and images. The work entitled DISSEMINATION OF WORDS is the artist's first real open-air installation and consists of 8 words (in English). These words not only describe his poetics but summarise the source of inspiration that leads me to create: emotion and love. The words chosen are WAY, LINE, LIFE, CUT, LOVE, EMOTION, ENCOUNTER and INTERLACEMENT. They are enclosed inside opaque black aluminium boxes, individually, with one side in plexiglass showing the writing strictly in neon (old-fashioned), in yellow paste (if switched off it remains coloured). The choice of the colour yellow is not accidental, but can be traced back to energy, to the warmth of the sun, to the strength of spirit and to constancy, dedication and the light that illuminates the artistic path.
