Description
De Spaanse graffitikunstenaars van Pintura Mural Barcelona maakten in september 2022 deze muurschildering aan het kerkplein van Eisden in opdracht van Tuinwijk2020 en Stichting Erfgoed Eisden.
Op 7 september 1922 werd de eerste steenkool bovengehaald uit de nabijgelegen koolmijn van Eisden. 100 jaar later werd deze imposante muurschildering van 128 vierkante meter gecreëerd als eerbetoon aan alle mijnwerkers. Voor het kunstwerk werden 350 spuitbussen verf gebruikt.

Spanish graffiti artists from Pintura Mural Barcelona created this mural on Eisden's church square in September 2022, commissioned by Tuinwijk2020 and Stichting Erfgoed Eisden.
On 7 September 1922, the first coal was brought to the surface from the nearby Eisden coal mine. 100 years later, this impressive 128-square-metre mural was created as a tribute to all miners. For the artwork, 350 spray cans of paint were used.
