“I was attracted by the strong expression and the hands. I wanted to create a narrative of how people re-build themselves to become a better person.” says the Brazilian artist who moved to Liverpool last year for it’s thriving street art scene. During the design process Liam tries to capture the vibe of the place, in this case the building has a very heavy gothic feel, which is amplified with the imposing cathedral on the background. The piece is dripping with symbolism. Liam says the hands have a “duality” to them, adding that they show “the search of the human for themselves”, as well as “the power to transform” — both by destroying and rebuilding.
