Electrical Box Mural

Created with support from @CA_Spaces who have helped brighten multiple sites around Chapel Allerton.

Jack Wilfred Grieve is an Illustrator and Mural Painter currently based in Leeds, UK. BA Illustration, Leeds Arts University alumnus.
A visual contradiction, simple yet complex; the artworks that JWG create’s often contain striking, energetic linework, numerous hidden details and expressive textures. ‘Cityscapes atop mountains slip into the sea. Entangled pathways connecting the earth to the sky.’
Hyper-Reductionist Symbolic Abstractionism is the term that nobody uses to describe his work…Yet.
Working predominantly using traditional analogue drawing processes with digital finishing JWG’s work has been heavily inspired by research into the Japanese idea of Hitsuzendo, or ‘the way of the brush.’ Trusting the brush to go where it needs to go. A way of seeing mark making as a pure expression of your highest self. Hitsuzendo must breathe with the vitality of eternal experience. Self portraits and landscapes become the same when you remember yourSELF. DRAWING EVERYTHING and nothing… JWG.
