Artwork created for the fourth edition “FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DES ARTS URBAINS” (“He(ART)4all” festival) 2025

The Canadian artist, trained in graffiti art, made a name for himself with a style that evolved towards the deconstruction of traditional spray painting techniques to create an abstract graffiti style while retaining the shape of the letter.

More recently, however, while continuing his graffiti work, Bacon has turned his attention to large-scale murals, attracting well-deserved interest.

For the Concrete Canvas Festival in Hamilton in July 2022, he created a representation of a futuristic creature with a metallic appearance, flanked by an exuberant hairstyle of pastel-coloured flowers. A unique composition – a sort of Iron Woman? – full of contrasts, in which the opposition of textures, materials and colours gives the whole a highly original appearance.

Canadian graffiti artist Bacon began painting in the 1990s as a teenager. He is best known for his colourful works that line the alleys and streets of Toronto and has gained international renown.

Bacon describes art as being passed down from one generation to the next. His work has evolved towards deconstructing traditional spray painting techniques to create an abstract graffiti style while retaining structure. The use of a mature colour palette and the blending of realism with the stylished flavour of graffiti give his work a unique look with smooth transitions and texture.
