Mar à Vista

This mural, titled "Mar à vista" (Sea in Sight), is a representation of the journey of life, seen through the eyes of a child. The central figure is a girl who, with a determined gaze, sails a paper boat in the middle of a vast sea. This boat symbolizes the vulnerability and innocence of childhood. The immensity of the sea around her represents the uncertainty and challenges encountered on the path to a better life.

However, this girl is not adrift. She holds a small telescope, an object that represents seeking and foresight. Her fixed gaze is a symbol of the hope and ambition that drive her beyond the present. And this quest is not for a specific destination, but rather for the promise of a better future and the discovery of new opportunities.

Accompanying the girl, a paper bird flies over the boat. Like the boat, the bird is a fragile element, but it symbolizes freedom and lightness of spirit. It represents the dreams, ideas, and hopes that soar above difficulties. The bird is not just a companion; it is a silent guide, a reminder that, even in the most fragile circumstances, the freedom to dream and the capacity to find our way are always present.

Together, the girl, the boat, and the paper bird create a visual narrative about the courage of innocence.

It is a work that reminds us that the quest for a better life depends not only on the sturdiness of our boat but on our capacity to dream, to look ahead, and to allow ourselves to be guided by hope.
