The Victory

"Victory" is the name of the new mural in Podil by the incomparable @waone_interesnikazki 

 A Ukrainian Cossack defeats a Russian bear that wanted to eat Ukrainian honey. 

 This is an allegory about the imperial ambitions of Russia, which has been encroaching on our land for hundreds of years and brings only death, but finally receives a decisive rebuff. 

 The inscription on the towel is lines of  Taras Shevchenko's poems, which appeared  under the Russian banner when Balaklya was released.

"І вам слава, сині гори,
Кригою окуті.
І вам, лицарі великі,
Богом не забуті.
Борітеся — поборете!
Вам Бог помагає!"

POEM "The CAUCASUS" 
"And glory, mountains blue, to you,
In ageless ice encased!
And glory, freedom’s knights, to you,
Whom God will not forsake.
Keep fighting — you are sure to win!
God helps you in your fight!"
