The Skvader

For Artscape Saga 2019. Best caught off business hours a cloudy day to avoid parked cars and ugly shadows.
The Hare is an animal found in many folktales around the world. The race against the tortoise perhaps being the most famous one. Dulk chose to draw inspiration from the Swedish Skvader (and possibly the Wolpertinger from Germany) a hybrid creature half grouse half hare, last seen over a hundred years ago.
