was invited to create a large-scale public artwork for the city of Joinville-le-Pont, a town deeply connected to the history of cinema. My mural pays tribute to Pathé Studios, which was founded there, and takes inspiration from the legendary French director Marcel Carné.

The mural spans 1,500 m², covering multiple walls, roofs, angled corners, and indented surfaces — making this my first-ever anamorphic project. Rather than sticking to my usual realism, I chose a more abstract approach, using my signature 45° angle lines and halo to guide the eye through the fragmented surfaces.

The composition brings together some of Joinville-le-Pont’s most iconic elements — the bridge that gives the city its name, the lively guinguettes along the Marne River, and an old film reel integrated into the linework — all of which celebrate the spirit of the place and pay homage to Pathé and the golden age of French cinema.

This project was not only a technical challenge but also a chance to experiment with perspective and storytelling in a new way — creating a piece that transforms as viewers move around it, just like a film unfolding frame by frame.
