In Joinville-le-Pont, the “Le Spot” project transforms a long-neglected strip beneath the A4 motorway into a 10 000 m² open-air art gallery.
Over 12 internationally renowned street-artists were invited to repaint pillars and ceilings with large-scale murals.
The agency Notorious Brand curated and produced the work, aiming to merge urban art, nature and sport in one unified space. The site also includes a newly planted urban micro-forest of tens of thousands of plants, built alongside sports-zones like basket, parkour and pump-tracks for public free use. Even a new Skate Park is in the make.
The murals blend styles — realistic figures, trompe-l’œil, geometric abstractions — and reference local history, ecology and youth culture.
