Aunty Elizabeth Connors

Aunty Elizabeth Connors (1926-2020) was a highly respected and much loved Nucurooma elder of the Kamilaroi nation, integral to reconciliation efforts in Inverell and big hearted in all her actions. 

Included in this commemorative mural are a number of site-specific references, like native endemic flora species and shapes reminiscent of the granite rock formations that pierce the sky at nearby Goonoowigall.
