The Volunteer

I was commissioned by my adopted city of Horsens to create a mural celebrating the many dedicated volunteers who help bring the city's renowned concerts and festivals to life.

My concept was simple: to depict an independent, creative individual who has transformed their surroundings—symbolizing the spirit of those who give their time and energy to the community. They’re shown seated on a white horse, the emblem of Horsens, tying the piece to the city’s identity.

The mural was also created in conjunction with this year's Royal Run, which took place here in Horsens.
