Description
Bikismo, also known as “La Joya del Caribe,” is a Puerto Rican street artist who has been painting since 1992. For many years, he was Puerto Rico’s most wanted graffiti artist. The government pursued him for creating art in public spaces. He is now a well-known artist whose work can be found in museums and galleries all over the world. Joshua F. Santos Rivera was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, and studied at the Escuela de Artes Plásticas de PR. He has painted for clients such as Michael Jordan, Leo Messi, Daddy Yankee, Bad Bunny, Wisin, Porsche, Adidas, Miami Heats, Dubai Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and many others.
He painted a fictional emoji to bring positivity to South Holyoke, while reflecting scenery from his Caribbean island.
