Chronik der Vier- und Marschlande

"The mural depicting the history of Bergedorf (alternatively: Chronicle of the Vierlande and Marschlande) was created in 1969 by German artist Andreas Nowack (1914–1998). The work is located in the Hamburg district of Bergedorf, on the gable of the apartment building at Ladenbeker Furtweg 264.

The mosaic depicts various stages in the history of Bergedorf in a realistic manner, beginning with the founding of the town in the 12th century. The upper part of the picture shows the development of the Vierlande region.

The work was purchased by the construction company SAGA as part of its “Art in Construction” program. The sculpture remains the property of SAGA."
