Die große Welle von Ottensen
Description
"This image accompanies us.
Long.
Coming up with the design was quite a spectacle, as they first wanted to see a Hamburg skyline - an impossibility on the stuccowork. Various concepts that could work well on the complicated surface were suggested but rejected. From somewhere, Hokusai's image of the Great Wave off Kanagawa spilled into the dialogue - That's it!"
"We've been painting graffiti for a long time - the older ones have been painting since 1984. Wandgestalten.de as a group has only been around since 2000.
Founded by the freelance artist Philipp Kabbe (Dipl. Communication Designer), Wandgestalten sees itself as a freelance artist network that specializes in indoor and outdoor wall design projects and mainly works in and around Hamburg.
