Sebastian Höger was born in Aschersleben in 1986 and studied at the Burg Giebichenstein Art Academy in Halle (Saale) from 2008 to 2014. There he studies in the class of Prof. Una H. Moehrke. His artistic qualification is in the field of drawing, painting and graffiti art. In his work, Höger combines elements from alternative and youth culture with classic hand drawing and thus develops innovative, new forms. Using the technique of etching, he manages to slow down the extremely quick process of spraying and fill it in with care. The works are reminiscent of a collision of graffiti elements and the visual language of printmaking. The dynamics between opposing elements interest and captivate him, so at the same time he also creates lacquer paintings that combine elements of spraying and graphic work. Permanent works by Sebastian Höger can be seen in the Freiraumgalerie in Halle/Saale. In addition to his artistic work, Sebastian Höger is involved in the field of art education and art education. With the hip hop network 4>>WARD e.V. he has been involved in organizing and running graffiti workshops and hip hop history camps since 2006. Höger lives and works in Halle/Saale.
