The Hoopoe

Description

Inspired by Farid Attar’s 12th-century Persian Sufi poem “The Conference of the Birds”, which tells the allegorical story of all the world’s birds gathering to find a king, guided by a wise hoopое. Very fitting since the mural is in Haarlem’s “bird district”. 🐦‍⬛
