Description

Grimsby Fish Dock Mural — by Nikita Spires

I love this mural it’s apart of three murals in the area definitely a must visit if you love Grimsby culture and heritage!

This mural by Nikita Spires, located at Grimsby Docks Station, captures a vivid moment from the town’s proud fishing heritage. Set against a blazing orange sunset, the scene shows dock workers loading crates of “Grimsby Fish” beside a steam locomotive — symbolising the industry that once made Grimsby the world’s busiest fishing port.

The combination of warm, dramatic skies and monochrome figures bridges past and present, celebrating the town’s working spirit and maritime history.

I’m passionate about street art and public murals, always exploring new cities and hidden corners to discover creative walls and inspiring artists. I love capturing the stories, techniques, and emotions behind each piece — from large-scale murals to small tags that add character to a place. My goal is to document and celebrate urban creativity while connecting people through art in public spaces.
