St. Mungo

St. Mungo is Glasgow's patron saint. The artist Smug decides to represent this saint in modern clothes and to refer to the old story of "The bird that never flew". Back when the saint was still alive, a wild robin was tamed by another saint (St. Serf) but was accidentally killed. Everyone blamed St Mungo for its death: to prove his innocence the saint took the dead bird and with his prayers he restored it back to life.
