A postcode for a location known as Ayer Itam. Ayer Itam, sometimes was spelt as Air Itam or Air Hitam, meaning 'Black Water'. It got its name from the murky waters of the Air Itam River. It is a town on Penang Island that currently facing issue of aging population. Due to lacking of reliable younger generation, senior citizen and old folks are still actively running economy activities to sustain their livings.
