The New Future

A model worker of the consumerist era strides across a flower-covered meadow, pushing a bottomless shopping cart. The mural’s style is a deliberate nod to socialist realist propaganda. Interestingly, the woman in the mural is heading straight toward a shopping mall housed in a repurposed hangar on Żwirki i Wigury Street — a building that, until 1974, served as the terminal of Gdańsk Wrzeszcz Airport.
