ETXAURIKO HARRIA

Basque sports and climbing have always been an essential part of culture and community in our towns. The towns of the Basque Country have a rich history based on traditional sports, which has created a close bond between the people.
Such traditional sports strengthen the bonds between communities and keep villages alive. These events provide an opportunity for people to meet, build friendships, and share customs, which is why this painting pays tribute to that.
In addition, Basque sports also help tourism, by showing our citizens to visitors what kind of culture and customs we have.
Finally, we would like to thank Etxauri Town Hall for their cooperation with this project, and Josetxo Urrutia, the champion of "Etxauriko Harria", for appearing in this mural.
