Gleispark Frintrop

Gleispark Frintrop is a landscape park on a former freight station in the north side of Essen Frintrop on the city border with Oberhausen. The 25-hectare site was originally used by the Cologne-Minden Railway Company as a marshalling and collecting yard. Most of the rails were dismantled and the area was renaturalised. In 2013, the access tunnel, which was repeatedly defaced by graffiti, was professionally designed by a local artist.
