Lula Nopal

Morra Mia

This is a very new mural. The artist says that she "is inspired by the strength of Mexican women, nature, and of course, the nopal, a symbol of our identity." The image is powerful. The woman's hat is ragged but the flowers are fresh. Paint drips down from the sides of it, like colorful streams of rain. The nopal is the prickly pear cactus. The fox has some symbolism here, perhaps the trickster? I've obscured the name of the restaurant.
