Jovita Idar

This mural is on the west exterior wall of Las Americas, an immigrant advocacy group. The woman depicted is Jovita Idar, a Mexican-American journalist who worked for justice for immigrants and an end to segregation. Despite great personal danger, Idar continued her fight throughout her life. In this, she inspires others to continue working for justice.
