Tallando huellas

This mural is a tribute to the Asturian artisan crafts, inspired by the “madreñas”, the traditional asturian wooden footwear.
This project, organized by @dayurimurales and launched by @ayuntamientodecaso was a powerful experience that helped me reconnect with nature and cultural heritage of my homeland, Asturias (Spain).
To create this design, the Dayuri team introduced me to Juan de Veneros, one of the last “madreña” artisans from Bezanes, and took me to the Museum of Wood, which houses a large collection of “madreñas” and traditional tools.
