W is the answer

The work of APE152 also known as Marc Hennig, one half of the well-known MAJO BROTHERS, stems from his passion for graffiti. In addition to the design of walls and house facades, his artistic work finds form in graphics and illustration, animation, wooden objects and youth work.

A variety of projects and collaborations with other artists constantly offer new challenges, through which the autodidact is constantly evolving. Influenced by their father, who was also an artist, the Hennig brothers' artistic career began in the 80s.

In 2005, their work was professionalized with the founding of the MAJO BROTHERS, and in 2010 they founded the youth art association "Verbunt e.V." together with others.

In the meantime, he also operates independently under the name APE152.

The artwork by APE152 does not have the typical yellow of the Majo Brothers.

This stands for Marc Hennig, one half of the well-known pair of brothers, who are known for their large-scale monkeys in many places in Düsseldorf.

He works with clear edges, but also blurred transitions and contrasts.

On closer inspection, a W for Wittenberger Weg can be seen.

The mural by the artist APE152 aka Marc Hennig deals with the isolated location of the street and picks up on the visual language of the draughtsman and illustrator Albert Uderzo, in which the complementary contrast of the forms trying to unite in the colors red and blue is also combined. In addition, the formal language of the picture also reflects Marc Hennig's current work.
