La Duchesse Anne

In his recognizable style, he offers us the portrait of the Duchess Anne or Anne of Brittany (1477 - 1514). Daughter of the Duke of Brittany Francis II, she became Duchess of Brittany on the death of her father, then Queen of France for the first time in 1491 (Charles VIII) and a second time in 1499 (Louis XII). Here she holds a sailing ship "Le Duchesse Anne", a three-masted ship, in her hands.

This ship can be visited at Dunkirk's maritime and port museum
