Recently, the residential quarter west of Borsigplatz, which comprises about 830 flats, was modernised. In addition to structural modernisation measures, selected façades were also redesigned to emphasise the tradition of the steel location (Hoesch) and the founding location of Borussia Dortmund and thus strengthen the residents' identification with their neighbourhood.
