Le couloir sous voies de la rue Sodar change de visage sous les bombes d'un collectif bruxellois, dont Arnaud Debal est l'un des membres fondateurs.

"On est des peintres fresquistes, illustrateurs pour murs,... Bref, on utilise des outils qui sont proches de ce qu'on appelle des graffitis, mais on le fait légalement."

Légalement sur demande de la Ville de Dinant et du centre culturel dinantais pour relooker l'aménagement ferroviaire. Nicolas Canta, animateur au Centre Culturel de Dinant, a suivi le projet.

"C'est tout simple. Si on fait une fresque, on évite les graffitis. L'endroit devient moins anxiogène. La Ville a confié le projet au centre culturel. On a ensuite regardé ce qu'il se faisait au niveau du street art en Belgique. On a trouvé Farm Prod."

Des dessins choisis en concertation avec les habitants

Sur les murs sont illustrés des thèmes choisis sur base d'une consultation des riverains et des étudiants en arts plastiques du Collège Notre-Dame de Bellevue, principaux usagers des lieux.

On sait que c'est un quartier qui a été meurtri par les inondations. On ne devait donc pas faire référence à l'eau. Les artistes ont mis en valeur André Sodar, un peintre dinantais qui a donné son nom à la rue. Le dessinateur de BD, Jijé, est également représenté.

Legally at the request of the City of Dinant and the cultural centre of Dinant to revamp the railway development. Nicolas Canta, an animator at the Dinant Cultural Centre, followed the project.

Drawings selected in consultation with the inhabitants

The walls illustrate themes chosen on the basis of a consultation with local residents and visual arts students from Collège Notre-Dame de Bellevue, the main users of the site.

We know that this is a neighborhood that was hit by the floods. So we shouldn't be referring to water. The artists highlighted André Sodar, a painter from Dinant who gave his name to the street. Comic cartoonist Jijé is also represented.
