Wie is die man?

Mural by artist Elleke van Win on the wall of Freinet School De Pit.
The idea to paint the wall came from the pupils themselves. The artist chose a swimming man with hairy back from which a palm tree has been shaved.
The mural, 12 metres high and 20 metres wide, raises all sorts of questions. Who is this man? Where is this taking place? The aim is to stimulate viewers to shape the story themselves, and to let their imaginations run wild.
For Elleke van Win, who lives in Diest, this was her very first graffiti work.
